What's the difference?
Heated CPAP tubing is designed to maintain the temperature of humidified air travelling from your CPAP machine to your mask, helping minimise condensation, commonly known as rainout.
Non-heated tubing does not contain a heating element, making it a lighter and more economical alternative.
Many CPAP users comfortably use non-heated tubing with or without humidification. Whether heated tubing is necessary depends on individual comfort, environmental conditions and humidifier settings.
Important: If you experience condensation or rainout when using a humidifier, heated tubing may be a more suitable option.
