Advice
Nasal masks are ideal for people who breathe through their nose during sleep, experience restless sleep, or are new to CPAP therapy. They are not recommended for mouth breathers.
A comfortable all-rounder that covers just the nose — lower-profile than full face, with a secure, stable seal. Great for most users.
Nasal masks combine the compact size of nasal pillows with a design similar to full face masks, making them a great option for beginners in CPAP therapy. They deliver air through a cushion that sits over the nose, providing indirect pressure and natural air circulation.
Pros:
+ Available in different models from all major brands
+ Allows movement during sleep
+ Indirect pressure and more natural air circulation
+ Good for those who experience restless sleep
+ Suitable for a wide range of pressure settings
Cons:
- The mouth must remain closed while using the mask
- The straps may cause irritation in some people
- May not be suitable for people with chronic nasal congestion or allergies
